Staying in Full Control With QBank's AI Feature

If you ever found yourself in situations where you feel out of control of what content your colleagues are actually using, or finding other external sources using your content that isn't for them to publish, then don't worry. We've got you covered. With our External Usage feature you have full control over which channels your assets and content are published to and who's using them. 

In this blog post, we’ll walk you through three benefits of External Usage and how it works.

How does it work? Simply open the asset in QBank and click “scan for external usage”. The AI powered feature will provide you with an up-to-date list of URL’s and other sources like Powerpoint presentations, CMS etc giving you an overview of where the asset is being used. The feature also supports images used in PDFs that are published online.

02. See who is Using Your Content 

Seeing where your images are used and by whom gives you control and saves you time. You can take action on this information within seconds.

Using the URL list of any external websites where the image is published you can contact the website and request that the image be removed or replaced.

If you are sharing images with external parties such as resellers of your products, the External Usage feature will help you keep track so that they are using the correct images and reach out to let them know if there is anything that needs to be updated.

You will also see a list of internal sources and who is using the images so that you can easily give them a call or email them to make sure they are using the correct and up-to-date material in their presentations and content!

03. Improve Safety and Control  

The ability to see where your images are located and used improves safety and control over where and who uses the image. Both inside and outside your organization.

For instance if you’re updating your company logo, you can scan the current logos with External Usage and get a comprehensive list of where you need to update to the new logo - saving you lots of time.

Expiration dates on images can be hard to keep track of, and using stock photos beyond their expiration date can result in copyright fines. The External usage feature is a simple way to get an overview of your images that have an expiration date, to know in what channel it needs to be removed or replaced.
