QBank makes Umeå Universitet work smarter in EPiServer

Written by Sofie Samrell | 11-09-2014

Umeå University is one of the nation's largest universities. To manage their information flow, QBank has been acquired to act as a central hub in all their communications. QBank will handle high-resolution photos, movies and documents, etc and automate the workflow in the channels (web, print, social media) used by the University.

One of the specific needs was to simplify work for web editors in their daily work with images and videos. QBank's plugin for EPiServer 7 allows editors going from spending 12-15 minutes per image to only 2-3 minutes. Cropping and resizing images is handled automatically in QBank.

Another need was to manage high resolution images for internal production of marketing materials, but also a channel for press, photographers, and other external contacts. That solution will become a separate web page where images and movies will be available for download in various formats. One of QBank's benefits is the possibility of smooth integration with other systems and solutions.

Umeå University will become a new customer to QBank and it opens up a new market for us. The order value is currently not official but it can be regarded as a normal-sized deal.
